Here’s the Canon EOS-1D Mark III digital SLR firing off 10 frames per second. It’s able to fire a string of 110 frames at a time in its default large jpeg frame size at level 8 compression. Canon’s Chuck Westfall, Director of Media and Customer Relationship of the Consumer Imaging Group, shows us what this hot high-end DSLR can do.

well thats obvious. but canon has little things like free rentals of multi-thousand dollar lenses at sporting events, which for a commercial sports photographer, is rather handy.

well in terms of …
well in terms of technology, it’s for sure that Canon’s more advanced than Nikon
But at the same time, Canon are holding their technology at high prices while Nikon allow users to enjoy their technology with a cheaper price than going for Canon

Sounds nice… but. …
Sounds nice… but.. uh.. try to do that in RAW with noise control on and see how many frames you’ll get then. Shooting fast in JPG is one thing, but being able to shoot fast in RAW at, or over 8fps with noise control(s) on, is a whole different story. When the 1D3 can do that for more than 40 (RAW) frames at a time.. get back to me

where did …
where did hasselblad get in to this ??
hasselblad is on a whole differnt level then the small frame SLRs a frend of mine has that
$45000 model WOW dady wants !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can buy a benz for that price
it is a huge target in down town LA
if you carry a “big gun” like that…
to a layman the 40D looks like a consumer <$1000 SLR so i blend in better
but with a 70-200/2.8/l IS !!!
i get the money shot then melt back in to the crowd
