the 18-55mm Lens is okay for beginners, but it would be more clever to buy the 450D without a lens. I suggest you to buy then a Canons EF-S 17-85mm Lens!

Yeah. Sony is a joke in my opinion. I’m a salesman at Circuit City, whenever anyone wants to buy ANYTHING buy Sony, I convince them not to. On any Sony product, you will need to use their “Specific” accessories, making it cost more -__- their screens are bought from Samsung. Their tech support stinks. Their NOT a camera company, although they make them. And their is proprietary, meaning you need to buy accessories and such through Sony, no 3rd party. And it cost a lot more.

I´ve just bougth …
I´ve just bougth the 450D (aka Rebel XSi in USA)… Outstanding !!!! This is my first Digital Camera and I could not have choosen a better one !!! Almost pro, beautifull, intuitive… the perfect DC for those who love photograpy, and mainly for the “semi-pro”.
